Ready for Fall: Sweet & Spicy Butternut Squash
This flavourful butternut squash is great on a sandwich, salad, or grain bowl for a quick and tasty boost!
Prep Time: 20 minutes (plus roasting time)
Ingredients:
- Vegetable Oil
- Butternut Squash (or another kind of squash)
- Umami Bomb (use Sweet Heat for the perfect blend of sweet and spicy)
Preparation:

Peel and cube the butternut squash into bite-sized pieces (about ¾–1 inch).

Toss the squash with a drizzle of vegetable oil and a pinch of salt.

Roast on a lined baking sheet at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes, or until tender and lightly browned.

While still warm, brush or toss the squash cubes with Umami Bomb - Sweet Heat so the flavours soak in.

Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to let the glaze set.
- Add a last drizzle of Umami Bomb Sweet Heat and then serve!

This recipe is great when served as a side dish, or when added to a sandwich, salad, grain bowl, or pasta! For bonus flavour and style points, add some chopped parsley and pickled onions, or add crunchy pecans for texture contrast.
